I have the same car with a window sticker of $37,xxx in 1984. I pad $400 for mine and I'm currently manual trans swapping it. It's got a home built 2 stage propane injection kit and a turned up injection pump. I love it.

That OM617 is bulletproof and has power potential. Slap a used turbo on it, tweak the fuel pump to inject more fuel and you can easily make 300HP

Mf 617 does not make less than 100hp tho. The 616 from the 240D for sure only makes like 70/80hp but the 300SD w turbo does like 120hp stock easily
